Peanut Burger

Peanut Burger is also known as coated peanut in Nigeria. This snack is made by coating groundnut also known as peanut with flour, eggs, and other Ingredient. Peanut is a nutritious and healthy snack loved by all. If you love groundnut you will definitely love peanut burger.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw peanuts or groundnut
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter (Optional)
  • Milk Flavour optional
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Procedure

  1. In a bowl, select the groundnut to take out the bad ones.
  2. Soak your raw groundnut in the hot water with a pinch of salt for 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Drain the water and spread out the groundnut to dry.
  4. In another bowl, sieve your flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and milk flavor. Add a pinch of salt and mix well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk egg, sugar, and butter till the sugar and butter dissolve (if using a whisk). In your mixer, add eggs, sugar, and butter and mix thoroughly (if using a mixer).
  6. Transfer the groundnut to a big bowl. Pour in two tablespoons of the egg mixture and shake the bowl in a circular pattern until the groundnut is well coated.
  7. Sprinkle some of the flour mixtures and keep shaking in a circular pattern.
  8. Repeat this process till the groundnut are coated with both egg and flour mixture
  9. Heat oil on medium heat and fry in batches until golden brown
  10. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  11. Serve or store in an airtight container.
