How to parboil or precook rice.
The parboiling process is done by precooking rice (without the husk) in order to reduce its starch content.
Saucepan or rice cooker
Wash the rice in cold water and place in a pot of boiling water.
Leave it to cook for 10 minutes
Drain the water from the rice with the help of sieve or colander
Pass the rice through cold running water
Leave in the sieve to drain all the water.
Your rice is now precooked.
