How To Make Nigerian Catfish Pepper Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Fresh Catfish Medium Size
  • Scent Leaves
  • 1-2 teaspoon Ground or chopped fresh pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic optional
  • 2-3 Seasoning Cubes
  • 2 Onions
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground pepper soup Spice

Instructions
 

  • Cut and wash the fish thoroughly with either salt, lime, lemon, or hot water until the slime is gone. If you are using hot water in washing the fish, I advise you to submerge the fish in hot water for 5 minutes, then pour out the water and wash thoroughly with cold water.
  • Once the fish is thoroughly washed, transfer to a pot, add the ground pepper soup spice, ginger, garlic (if using), chopped onions, seasoning cubes, salt and allow to boil for 15 minutes.
  • Add ground or chopped pepper, chopped scent leaves and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes.
  • The pepper soup should be ready. serve hot with cold juice.
