This is a special kind of pap. It is made from the combination of zobo and raw pap. Zobo is gotten from sorrel or roselles leaves. It is also known as hibiscus tea or sour tea. Zobo has a sweet sour taste. Zobo has a lot of health benefits attached to it. The health benefit of zobo include regulation of blood pressure, weight loss, strengthen the body and so on.
Pap is made from either maize or millet. It is made by soaking dried maize or millet in water until they are soft and grinding it into a smooth and fine paste. The paste is then pass through a sieve and allowed to ferment for 2-3 days. Pap has it own benefits too, some of it benefits include : It contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin B5, vitamin B3, vitamin B1. It also contains potassium, zinc, magnesium, phosphorus, chromium, selenium e.t.c. It also serves as energy builder because it is very light.
Pap is served with moi-moi, akara, beans e.t.c. Milk, honey, sugar, groundnut and cashew nut are also use for sweeten it. Zobo pap is more beneficial to the body than the regular pap. 250 milliliters zobo juice
200 grams Raw pap
Sugar or honey to taste.
Dissolve raw pap in zobo juice and stir well to ensure no lumps is formed.
Bring water to boil and add the boiling water directly to the dissolved pap.
Stir well until the pap solidifies. If it does not solidify, do not panic and place the pot of pap on medium heat.
Continue cooking and stirring until the pap solidify.
Add more hot water to adjust the consistency to your desired consistency.
