  • ½ cup of brown rice
  • 5 cups of water
  • A pinch of salt

Procedure:

  1. Wash the rice thoroughly.
  2. Put a pot on heat, add your washed rice to the pot and toss on low heat until golden brown.
  3. Stir well to avoid it sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  4. Add the water to the pot, cover the pot, and cook for 1 hour 30 minutes over low heat.
  5. The water will become cloudy after it has been cooked.
  6. Filter and sweeten if desired.
